Huang Coco (Visual Artist, Taiwan)

For the Everyday Mandala exhibition, she has gathered materials locally from Asan Bazar, grocery store, paper shop and the pigment shop. She was inspired by the ceremonies and the daily lives in Kathmandu. Carl Jung described a mandala as “a representation of the unconscious self”. Mandala making to her can be healing and spiritual, it is an art practice that focuses on mindfulness and the process. It is often a quiet time to reflect, listen, create intuitively without any expectations, and connect body, mind and soul in the here and now.
