Rachelle Steele is a Master Photographer from the United States and is known for her dynamic black and white environmental portraiture. She is currently International Portrait Photographer of the Year for the second year in a row and her works were recently exhibited in the International Photography Hall of Fame.
As a 9 year Military Veteran, Rachelle’s visual style express’s deep emotions and sensitively discusses the pain from wartime service. As a storyteller, she is honored to work on international projects and exhibit her work in galleries around the world. Her use of tonality and complex compositions transports viewers on an elegant and powerful journey as they experience her poetic work. Rachelle considers her work as an extension of her own soul as she also expresses the soul of those she photographs. From behind the lens she connects intimately with others and cherishes capturing the human spirit. Unafraid, her work is an expression of her complicated background as not only a military veteran but as the daughter of a murdered junkie. Photography is a tool that brings healing and love into her heart and she uses this tool to reach her own veteran community so that they might also live and heal.
