Cornelia Zierhofer (Switzerland)

Cornelia Zierhofer, born on August 28, 1993, in Baden (AG), Switzerland, is a versatile artist and educator based in Zürich. Her academic journey commenced with primary education split between Wettingen and Malden, Netherlands, followed by high school in Wettingen. Immersed in cultural exchange, she embarked on an AFS exchange year in New Zealand in 2010/2011 before undertaking a Propädeutikum in Bern, a pre-course in the arts, from 2013 to 2014. Cornelia earned her Bachelor of Scenography from Zhdk between 2014 and 2018, and currently pursues a Master of Theater in Education at the same institution.
Her professional trajectory encompasses diverse roles and projects, ranging from summer jobs on farms and mountain huts to workshop leadership at Museum Mühlerama, Zürich, and assistant set design at Delighted Gmbh, Thalwil. Since 2020, she has served as the decorator for the International Animation Festival Fantoche and as a teacher of theater at Middle School Burg, Wald, from 2022 onwards.
Cornelia’s artistic portfolio includes an array of notable projects, such as her performance “show me the face / heart / guts” at Einsobendrauf Festival and various exhibitions and festivals. Noteworthy highlights include her stage design and costume work for “Projekt Stille” by Cie. Echolot and her installation “Tingly Touch,” winner of the “Open Call (social architecture)” at culture space Helferei in 2020. Her commitment to theater in education is evident in her
